LAW

God loves his Law just as much as he loves his Gospel, for both are a reflection of his own divine nature. God is love (1 John 4:8), but God is also holy, holy, holy (Revelation 4:8). The Law of God is holy, righteous, and good (Romans 7:12). God's Law is not the problem, the problem is man's rebellion.

GOSPEL

Thankfully, Jesus lived a perfectly righteous life on behalf of  all of God's elect (Matthew 5:17). And through his substitutionary death on a cross, Christ drank the full cup of God's wrath toward sinners. By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, sinners can be saved to the glory of God alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

COVENANT

God is not a universal father (John 8:44). He is only the Father of those whom he adopts by virtue of their union with Christ (Ephesians 1:5). Through this adoption, Christians not only gain God as their Father but also each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. These brothers and sisters in Christ covenant with one another to glorify God in the context of local churches  (Matthew 18:15-20).

CULTURE

Christ is head of the Church (Ephesians 5:23). But Christ is also head of all things (Ephesians 1:22). Christ has commissioned his Church to disciple the nations, teaching them to submit to Christ's universal Lordship through obedience to all his commands (Matthew 28:18-20). Jesus has promised that Hell will not prevail against the expansion of his Church (Matthew 16:18). Therefore, the Church is not called to merely conserve but to advance by courageously engaging the culture with the truth of God's Word.
